Chapter 6 – The Raid

Upali still hated to study books but he went to school regularly, so his father didn’t blame him. The vacation started in cashew season. There was no cashew in trees because the children in the village pluck all cashews in the trees. But there was a land of cashew trees in the village which was owned by a rich man named Upasakappu. He did not allow children to pick cashews in his land. One day Upali and his friends planned how to pick cashews from his land. They have got a news about Upasakappu. One of them said “ Upasakappu used to wear a baniyan and a sarong, but today I saw that he was going wearing a coat and a trouser. I think he is going on a long trip.” Upali suggested “Let’s break the lock and go into the cashew land”.
